EnVision was retained to design and implement environmental, geotechnical, and hydrogeological programs for the redevelopment of multiple sites in the West Don Lands. Initial services included compliance oversight for Certificates of Property Use (CPUs), construction supervision, barrier inspection, vapour mitigation system design, sub-slab and indoor air quality monitoring, and the preparation of Soil Management, Health & Safety, and Methane Management Plans. As the project advanced, EnVision provided updated environmental site assessments, soil remediation, excess soil reuse planning, geotechnical design verification, and inspection/testing for new infrastructure to support land conveyance to the City of Toronto – laying the groundwork for a new era in urban living.

Smart soil solutions.
Planning and management of excess soils in accordance with O. Reg. 406/19 ensured regulatory compliance and sustainable reuse during construction of berms, soil caps, and below-grade parking garages.

Design verification and inspection/testing for earthen derailment berms, crane pads, and roadways provided critical support for new infrastructure and safe site development.
